The hotel provides complimentary airport shuttle service 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Schedule and availability subject to change. Getting around: For most travel in the area, a rental car is the best option, and rental cars are available online. For guests who wish to visit downtown New Orleans, including the French Quarter, it is often best not to drive, however. Driving in the French Quarter can be especially frustrating because of the narrow streets, some of which are blocked off for pedestrian use.
To reach downtown, taxis charge a flat $28 for up to two people or $12 per person for three or more people. Guests can also take the hotel shuttle to the airport and use an airport shuttle from there; the cost is $5–$15 per person. From the airport, travelers can also take public transportation downtown for less than $5. All fees subject to change without notice. Once in downtown, the city has plenty of taxis, a good bus system, and historic streetcars that take specific routes to many attractions.
